  1. wow…. love this episode of RnRGS! what a delight to listen to a writer/producer of so much of the music i grew up with and hear how honest and pure is his love for music. even though an insider, Mike Chapman really seems to be beyond all that corporate bullshit about which i am so cynical regarding the music industry.
how i wish there were more music lovers, like Mike Chapman, directing, nuturing and growing the talent that the music scene has to offer rather than the corporate suits & lawyers who are only interested in building a biz machine to crunch and grind out the next million-dollar-profitmaker-popstar-one-hit-wonder.

thanks to both Mike’s for giving the listeners of the RnRGS this wonderfully interesting, insightful and informative interview! 🙂

  2. thank you, thank you, thank you! mike chapman is one of those guys whose influence under the surface is immeasureable. the first knack album is just a perfect example of power pop. sweet songs are some of the favorites of my 10 year old. blondie owes their legendary status to mike. do a search on allmusic.com for mike and you’ll be amazed at his range of influence on the rock world. thanks again butler for bringing another icon down to our level so we can appreciate the joy and simplicity that molds our favorite music!!
