  1. I can’t believe you drank beer with tomato juice, that sounds disgusting! Thanks for drinking it though, I too hate to see good beer go to waste.
    Great show, keep it up.

  2. i’ve tried drinking a Red-Eye, too. as a hangover remedy… blech. i’d never use good beer to make that drink, though. it only deserves bad beer if ya ask me.

enjoyed this episode… kinda seems like back to basics or RnRGS roots or sumthin’ 🙂

btw, the first albums i bought were Black Sabbath ‘Sabbath Bloody Sabbath’, Carly Simon ‘No Secrets’, Jethro Tull ‘Aqualung’ and Led Zeppelin ‘IV’.
my mother didn’t know whether to kill me for having Carly’s braless coverart or Sabbath’s devil music on my music shelf. lol 😀

  3. I have to agree with Donna. This show was “back to basics” and was awesome. Actually, it was better than awesome, it was perfect.

What made it perfect, you ask?

I instantly fell in love with “The Trench”. As soon as it ended, I went looking all over the Web for info on The Figgs (their Web site, their myspace, interviews, etc) while continuing to listen to the show. By the end of the show I had downloaded some of their songs and bought two CDs.

Top off being introduced to a freaking cool band with hearing another AH song, the smark from blabbermouth.com and another Ginger song (yikes!…no wonder he’s single these days!) and it was the most satisfying 45 minutes ever.

    Thanks for The Figgs!

  4. Michael,

thanks for the seven shows from the camp…I REALLY appreciate them 😉

But seriously, your defying anyone to say that Aqualung is not a GREAT rock record is right on.
People forget that rock is as much about groove and intensity (which Black Sabbath knew inside and out–those are not the hardest guitar tones ever, but they scream). Also, what was heavy then is not what is heavy now–and what’s heavy now mostly stinks.

    Great show, thanks again!

  5. Have you ever heard Iron Maiden’ cover of Cross Eyed Mary? It is as metal as anything Metallica has done.

  6. Great Show. The first GnR’s song sounded pretty good. Don’t know about the second one. Tomato juice and Beer is pretty bad I would of wasted the beer! Looking forward to the show’s in the bay area!

    Rock On!

    Jeff

  7. I have seen Terrorvision as well, quite a few years ago. I love them. I have their first two albums but thought they had split up… will check out their other.
The best thing (apart from their music) about the gig i went to was when they got the whole crowd to shout ‘wanker’ at a bloke who through a can of beer on stage. he left after that.
