  1. wondering….
of course, on your podcast shows you play and promote the music that you like and enjoy. but, in the position you now hold in your new career will you be looking beyond your own musical taste/preferences and reach out to other genres of music? there is a myriad of incredibly talented independent musicians/bands/artists that don’t necessarily find their roots in rock or punk. are you able to recognise talent even if said talent doesn’t do the kind of music that you know and love?
for example, country music or NuRock/alternative may not be your favs, but are you able to discern good song-writing and/or excellent musicianship within these genres?

  2. Of course I am looking beyond my tastes for my job. But for my show, I want to play ROCK because that is what the show is about.

I got Merle Haggard on the Podsafe Music Network.

  3. whoa, Merle Haggard! now there’s a guy who’s been around on the music scene for a long while. very cool that a legendary old-time country western guitarist (an excellent musician, btw) would be interested in new-fangled ideas regarding delivering music to the masses.
very good work, Michael!…. methinks you’ll be around in that office job for more than a few weeks 😉
    🙂

  4. Funny how it has been that long that you’ve been doing the ahow! Didn’t you do a show or something from the hotel room? I always was wondering why Dead was D.E.A.D. Learn something new everyday. I’ll see you on the 2nd! Have a few beers for your loyal listening crew!

    Jeff
