This is a music video/movie montage from The Runaways movie starring Dakata Fanning and Kristen Stewart. I’m guessing it’s Dakota singing this because it’s oviously a different recording than the original . I have to admit, it sounds pretty good. If you listen to Good Clean Fun then you may have heard Jasper, me, Joe Klein and several friends re-enact the movie from the screenplay. All of the clips they show in the movie pretty much confirm that we in fact read the real screenplay. You see Cheri at the talent show doing a David Bowie song, Cheri auditioning for The Runaways, etc.
When we read the screenplay, both Jasper and I thought it was going to be cheesy and in the vein of Histeria: The Def Leppard Story. I still think that but I have to admit that I am really looking forward to seeing the movie. The one thing that kind of bugged me about the movie is that they went from the first album to them breaking up in about 3 pages. I realize they have to take liberties for the movie but for hardcore Joan/Runaways fans, it’s a little bit of a letdown.

The fact that Cheap Trick is not in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is proof that it’s a joke but honestly, I’m glad they are not. It makes me feel like they only belong to the cool kids, and that would make me a cool kid.
