  1. You never cease to crack me up, man. I don’t care how long the episodes are, the Supernova stuff is funny, funny shit.

I can’t believe that they don’t let them use in-ears, though, I’d be pissed too. That might explain why half the singing sounds like liquid shit. When I played Bar Natasha the first time- capacity 200 or 300 tops -I couldn’t hear a damn thing even with a wedge mounted at head-level by the piano. Granted, that place is built like a warehouse with no soundproofing, but the crowd was totally overpowering. My in-ears made all the difference last weekend.

I wouldn’t want to play a fucking theater or opera house like the one on the show without my in-ears either, especially with T-Lee on the drums behind me.

  2. Fri – 9:12PM. The boards took a dump.

I actually liked Toby and I do like Talking Heads, but the megaphone was so already done last year. He brought that out and I thought, oh no.
And when Ryan said he was doing Depeche Mode, I was yelling at the tv, dude! did you see what happened to the Duran Duran guy! He did it as well as it could be done.

  3. I love Talking Heads, one of my favorite bands. My favorite song ever might be Psycho Killer..

The megaphone was bareable, it was the siren that got on my nerves.

The I liked the show better solo. I liked Joe Klein (he fucking rocks) but Ginger Coyote was annoying. I guess you owed her, though.

I own the new Motorhead record. Lemmy’s in top form. If I had to pick one metal band to listen to over and over again, Motorhead would just barely beat Maiden for the top spot. Lemmy just kicks ass..

All the rock stars are making top notch “reunion” disks.

Arthur Lee did it with Love in 90s, the Def Leppard one of all glam covers was good, T-Bone Burnett (not exactly a rockstar, but meh) released a fine solo album. My favorite though is Alice Cooper. Two nice back to roots albums.

    Anyway, I’m rambling..

  4. I too am amazed that Supernova doesn’t allow the contestants to use in-ears. I understand that it would be almost impossible to find band that would be free enough to allow the show to go unedited, but if they did this show could actually be a great show.
