  1. Hi Michael,

Yet anoterh cracking show. Opening with the new Backyard Babies was brilliant – I haven’t heard from them since “Safety Pins and Leopard Skins” days. They have changed a bit I must say. There sound now reminds me of The Godfathers, a long since defunct UK band fronted by Peter Coyne, who seems to have disappeared from the UK music scene. The Godfathers were a band full of anger and politics, something the UK seemed to do so well in the 1980′ and 1990’s (cf. “Their Law” by PWEI and The Prodigy as well as most tracks by Pitchshifter)

I have to agree about the Gene Simmons bit – who is going to believe you can exercise to look sexy from a guy who looks like he’s been chasing parked busses!!!

    ‘Til next week

    Phil

  2. My band actually shared a bill with MiniKiss a couple of years ago. I’m not sure who the drummer was at the time. but he and Mini-Ace were total poon hounds. As soon as they got off stage they were running around the club taking pictures with their hands on every nice pair of tits in the club.
Joey (Mini-Gene) was the leader of the group and the only one who could play an instrument. He even snuk behind the drums to preform the drum solo, which was the only part of the set that wasn’t prerecorded on CD other than Mini-Paul’s vocals. Joey told us that his plan was to eventually replace Mini-Ace & Mini-Peter with midgets who could actually play. I’m not sure if that ever happened, but about year later they came back thru town with those guys replaced by two female midgets. Not being a Kiss fan I decided not to see them that second time.

  3. Peter Coyne played briefly a couple of years ago with Rat Scabies & Kris Dollimore in a band called The Germans who only released a promo CD. Brillant band/songs let down by the British Record Industry. Gene Simmons….Roll on the third series of Rock School.
