The Knack was my signing in A&R at Capitol. Listening right now. Kudos to you on a fine job, man! I have always felt that Berton was one of the most underrated guitarists--ever.

Just heard my first R & R Geek Podcast and it was this episode. Two whole hours of Berton Averre!!! I've loved this album for 30 years and it's great to see that someone else out there actually gives a damn about the same record. Berton had some great stories to tell and it was just a fascinating show. Well done.

Loved the show! Mr. Averre is a brilliant gentleman and I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation. Wish you would have him back and discuss his views on guitars and what makes for a good guitar sound. I somehow think that given his versatility as an artist, he has more than one sound in his kit.

Fantastic interview- thanks for such a great podcast. I saw "Getting the Knack," a classic documentary, and then found your scintillating review of "Get the Knack." For a long time power pop fan, listening while driving home form work doesn't get any better than that. However, I don't know if I believe that Berton did not watch that film, featuring him, his mother, and such great interviews and scenes.
What the hell?
