Dude, thank you! I always appreciate hearing my name on your show and especially getting some kicking tunes dedicated to me. I love Rollins era Black Flag, more than BF before him and way more than him solo. That was just the right combination of people to set it off. Keep up the good work, and keep sticking it to the man.

oh, yeah! love hearing that old '70's music, sounds as good to me today as it did waay back then... Nazareth's 'Hair Of The Dog' got lotsa play time cranked on 8-track and on vinyl. Foghat... good to hear somebody else digs 'em, too. i get shit from my friends for groovin' to Foghat. love their cover of Chuck Berry's 'Maybeline'. hehe, and, Uriah Heep was the headliner at the first concert i attended. i was heavily into Blue Öyster Cult, and along with Manfred Mann's Earth Band, they opened for Uriah Heep... BÖC blew UH off_the_stage. also blew my mind and forever turned me on to the joys of live music. would be cool to hear something from the original BÖC, especially their first 3 albums (in as many years) which totally rock. even though everybody knows that the bass guitar is the sexiest instrument in a rock band, BÖC founder/drummer Albert Bouchard and his hard-hitting creativity is primarliy responsible for me being a wannabe drummer groupie... :P
anyway, getting long winded here [but, 9 december's show inspires me :) ) so... keep on rockin' and looking forward to the next RnR Geek Show.
oh, btw, a geography lesson..... Merritt Island, FL is located at the center of Florida's eastern coast, adjacent to Cocoa Beach. a major landmark which a lot of people from around the world, [even folks originally from Florida ;) ] might recognise is the Kennedy Space Center. it's situated on the northern end of Merritt Island.

cheers *raises glass of 'Dutch Windmill' lager*

Mike

Thanks for the song, It was really good! We'll keep beating up Heineken for you.

You should do a show just on "Spinal Tap"? It would probably be really good! Just the stuff you were talking about today is gonna make me watch it again this weekend.

There was a great interview a few days ago with David Johansen on NPR (Fresh Air/Terry Gross). It can be accessed through their website....
