I start this week’s show off with a live Hellacopters track swiftly followed by Finish rockers Waltari. A track off the new Hardcore Superstar album ‘Beg For It’ is played along with a new Crash Diet track featuring vocalist number 3. After the interest generated from last week’s show Steel Panther have two studio tracks played from their ‘Feel The Steel’ album. I finish off this weeks show with two tracks from The Seeds as Sky Saxon passed away on Thursday. The last song actually played on this weeks show is a tribute to that other icon that passed away this week; Farrah Fawcett. Do you get the feeling that Sky Saxon is going to be the new Darby Crash!

Finally! Rock and Roll Report Podcast #54 was a long time coming but if you are a regular reader of the site you will know that we have been having major server issues that had to be addressed and so my time was preoccupied by that for the last few weeks.
This week’s podcast has been in the works for a long time. I have been wanting to do a “headphones show” for awhile and the playlist for this podcast is very much suited for relaxing in a hammock or on a lounge chair, preferably on the beach or by the pool with headphones on. The songs deal with love, lost, escape and failure and the lyrics are definitely worth listening to carefully.

I had these songs on my mp3 player and decided to do a quick show while at the firehouse today. Its different, so have patience. Messin with some blues players, some country boys and alot of rockabilly crazies and having a ball. I wasn’t originally going to have this weeks show as ‘Live In Concert’ affair but I just couldn’t decide which bits to leave out of Steel Panthers’ London gig. Justin Hawkins even joined them on stage, with a foot in plaster, for two songs. So prepare yourself for 90 minutes of Glam done Tap style.
