This is a new semi-regular feature of the MonkeyBeat Podcast where I rummage through my archive of live recording and present some true performance gems.

This episode features The Fleshtones recorded at The Satyricon in Portland, OR on April 28th, 2000

The recording is quite rough, but the performance (as with all ‘Tones shows) is top notch!

Finally done, I can move on. But this truely was a great year, from The White Stripes to Tim Armstrong, rock is alive. It was a return to garage rock for me, a return to knowing the shit I have always loved is alive and back . I also want to thank Radiohead (although I have not played them) for scarying the piss out of a few record exects. The Revolution continues.

                                                 Thanks

Whiskey N’ Waterbeds #2

January 20th, 2008

headerWell, Joey Fuckup and WhiskeyBrian staggered through another inebriated podcast to bring you show #2.  In the mental state of alcoholica, your gracious hosts have tried not to fuck this one up, but with a lot of cold beer already consumed before the taping, they failed.  But what they succeeded at was playing some awesome damn rock’n'roll like Les Sexareenos, Hydeouts, Lyres, Fleshtones, MC5, Vultures, and more!  Hell, they even managed to have a guest along!  Drink up for more titty shaking humdingers that’ll get even the dead relatives dancing around the graveyard!  Suggested beer: Country Club Malt Liquor!

You can listen to this episode here: http://blip.tv/file/611769 or click below.

If you love it, hate it or just think it was ok.. let us know and leave us a comment.
